The beautiful Christmas decorations felt enchanting, and the staff's friendliness made everything more enjoyable. The outdated decor in the room offered a touch of disappointment. Nonetheless, I loved the delicious breakfast and charming location!

the tasteful furnishings, the library, the business areas ... . the breakfast room, the view of the niagara river ...
no information in the room about important dates (e.g. opening hours of the pool) .. air conditioning difficult to regulate .. I would have liked to have a look at the georgian ballroom ...

The location was nice and perfect - not far from the sweet Niagara on the Lake town, all the company's planned activities, including breakfast, lunch, dinners, coffee, refreshments, and coordination between all the hotels and transportation services and all the Shaw Festival theaters. I liked the room with a view.

Consider requesting additional towels and amenities at check-in if you have a larger party, as our room lacked sufficient supplies for three guests.

That place was quiet and great including very good location and rooms. The restaurant was great for breakfast, I tried warm dishes.

The layout and proximity to the theatre (not listed above, surprisingly)
The food - Dinner: My request for a medium steak produced a tough overcooked tasteless piece of meat - all for $45!! Breakfast: The "hot" buffet (sausage and egg) was tepid and rubbery The restaurant staff were pleasant but had the identical "patter" for every guest. The interaction was impersonal

We loved the location and the shuttle service anywhere we wanted to go as we had a handicapped person with us. We were given a room upgrade which we appreciated but...(see below).
Our upgraded room was directly above the entrance to the hotel. The air conditioner did not work so we needed to keep the windows open. We were awakened throughout the night with the comings and goings in and out the front door, loud talking, and cigar smoke coming in the windows. The lighting in our room was very poor making it very difficult to read or dress. The front desk did not make American change although many of their guests are American.

The hotel itself is gorgeous and elegant and is surrounded by an abundance of beautiful foliage. The staff was very friendly, particularly the reception staff who assisted us with obtaining great seats for a Shaw Festival play. The location is wonderful, just a 5-10 minute walk to the main street and Shaw theater. We had lunch on the patio overlooking the marina but ate dinner in town (dinner at the hotel was quite expensive). We would definitely return.
The only negative was that we requested a view of the marina, and unfortunately, instead of a scenic marina view, we overlooked a concrete lot. For the money we paid, we thought the view should have been a little nicer.

I really enjoyed the relaxing indoor pool and inviting jacuzzi to unwind after a busy day. Just a heads up, we found the mattress could've been a bit more comfortable, but it didn't ruin our experience at all 😊

It is a "very classic" Hotel in a very nice environment. It is a bit "stiff", and "old fashioned" but a very nice hotel.
It is acting too much in the "old way" of Hotel Management, an addition of some more "modern" approach would even improve the overall rating of the Hotel
